Ethereum On-Chain Metrics Are Now in Beta on BGeometrics
BGeometrics has been a Bitcoin platform since day one, and Bitcoin remains our focus. But many of you follow Ethereum too, and you have asked whether the same kind of on-chain view could exist for ETH. As a first step, 15 Ethereum on-chain metrics are now available in beta, each with its own chart and its own API endpoint.
Beta means what it says. We want to see how useful these metrics are to you before committing to more, so definitions, data sources and endpoints may still change.
What’s included
All 15 metrics update daily:
| Group | Metrics |
|---|---|
| Valuation and profitability | SOPR, MVRV, Market Cap |
| Supply | Supply, Supply Last Active 1y+ |
| Network activity | Active Addresses, New Addresses, Total Addresses, Transactions, Total Volume |
| Fees and gas | Total Fees, Total Fees USD, Total Gas Used, Mean Gas Price |
| Capital flows | ETF Flows USD |
If you already use SOPR and MVRV for Bitcoin, the ETH versions read the same way. SOPR compares the price at which coins are sold with the price paid for them, so values above 1 mean coins are moving at a profit on average, and values below 1 mean they are moving at a loss. MVRV compares market capitalization with realized capitalization, and both charts mark the level of 1 for reference.
Fees and gas have no direct Bitcoin equivalent in our catalogue, and they are a good place to start if you want a view of demand for block space on Ethereum.
Charts
You’ll find the new Ethereum group in the sidebar of
charts.bgeometrics.com, or you can type eth in the search box.
Each metric has its own chart with the ETH price behind it, in light and dark mode, and the pages
are also available in Spanish.
API
Every metric has an endpoint under /v1/eth-*, listed in the
Ethereum section of the API documentation.
They work like the rest of the API:
# Latest available value
https://bitcoin-data.com/v1/eth-sopr/1?token=YOUR_TOKEN
# Date range
https://bitcoin-data.com/v1/eth-mvrv?startday=2026-01-01&endday=yesterday&token=YOUR_TOKEN
# CSV download
https://bitcoin-data.com/v1/eth-active-addresses/csv?token=YOUR_TOKEN
The day, startday and endday parameters accept a date, or the words today and yesterday.
Who can see what
- Without an active subscription, including free API tokens: the last four years of data, without the most recent seven days.
- With an active subscription: the full history, including the most recent days.
The same limits apply to the charts and to the API. You can compare plans on the pricing page.
