Partner Codes and Reader Discounts: How to Pay Less (or Earn) with BGeometrics

A lot of people find BGeometrics through someone else: a newsletter that cites an on-chain chart, a research publication that pulls data from the API, a community where somebody shared a dashboard. We want those recommendations to be worth something, both for the reader who follows them and for the person or publication who made them.

That’s what our partner codes are for. A partner code gives the reader a discount on any paid plan, and gives the partner behind it a commission on what that reader pays. Anyone with a BGeometrics account can create their own partner code in a couple of minutes — no approval needed.

This post covers both sides: using a discount code, and becoming a partner.

If you have a discount code

Partner codes are short words that you’ll usually see in an article, a newsletter or a link such as:

https://portal.bgeometrics.com/pricing?promo=CODE

What you get

  • A percentage off your subscription. The exact discount is set per code and shown on the pricing page as soon as the code is recognised. Advance plans and higher tiers (Premium, Professional) can have different percentages.
  • The discount keeps applying to renewals, not just the first payment, for the length of the offer attached to the code (typically 6 to 12 months).
  • It works with every payment method: card (Stripe), Lightning and on-chain bitcoin.

How to apply it

There are three ways, and any of them is enough:

  1. Open a partner link. pricing?promo=CODE shows the discounted prices; register?promo=CODE creates your account with the code already attached. Signing up with Google or GitHub keeps the code too.
  2. Already have an account? Go to your profile and enter the code in the Partner code field before paying.
  3. Log in through a partner link. The code is carried through the login and applied to your account.

Good to know

  • The offer starts with your first payment, not when you sign up. If you register today and subscribe next month, you still get the full offer period.
  • One code per account. Once you’ve paid with a code it stays locked to your account for the rest of the offer, so codes can’t be swapped or stacked.
  • Codes have a validity window. A code has to be redeemed before its end date, but once you’ve paid with it, your discount runs its full course even if the code later expires or is retired.

Becoming a partner

The partner program is for people and organisations that already talk about Bitcoin data with an audience: independent publications, newsletters, research blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels, educators, trading communities and tool builders. You don’t need to be big; you need readers who would genuinely use on-chain metrics or the API.

What a partner gets

  • Your own discount code, live instantly with our standard terms: 15% off for your readers, a 20% commission for you, for 6 months on every reader who redeems it.
  • A commission on every payment made with your code: the first payment and every renewal, for as long as that reader’s offer lasts. The percentage applies to the amount the reader actually pays.
  • A choice of how to get paid:
    • Lightning, to your Lightning address
    • On-chain bitcoin, to your BTC address
    • Subscription credit on your own BGeometrics account: a balance applied to your next card invoice, or extra subscription days if you pay in bitcoin
  • A partner dashboard at portal.bgeometrics.com/partner.html, showing:
    • your code, share link and terms
    • sign-ups, paying readers and revenue attributed to your code
    • every commission with its status, commissions available for payout and payouts received
    • your payout method and address, which you can change yourself

How payouts work

Every payment made with your code creates a commission straight away, visible in your dashboard and announced by email. Each commission becomes available 30 days after the payment, which covers the refund window: if a payment is refunded, its commission is cancelled (or deducted from your next payout if it had already been paid).

Available commissions accumulate until they reach your minimum payout ($20 by default for self-service codes) and are then paid out using the method you chose. The minimum exists so small balances aren’t eaten by network fees. With Lightning it can be kept low.

See the full partner terms for details on the payment hold, refunds and fair play.

Fair-play rules

  • Commissions come from other people’s payments. Payments made with your own code on your own account don’t generate a commission.
  • Refunded payments don’t earn a commission.
  • Payments that look linked to the partner’s own account or IP address are held for manual review before payout, rather than paid automatically.

Anyone can become a partner

There’s no approval process and no minimum audience size. Sign up for a free BGeometrics account, go to portal.bgeometrics.com/partner.html, and create your code with the standard terms above. You don’t even need to verify your email first — the partner dashboard is open to every registered account.

Share your link (pricing?promo=YOURCODE), a post, a mention in your newsletter, or just tell people your code directly. Every reader who pays with it gets 15% off, and you earn 20% of what they pay for six months.

Bring meaningful volume — a large newsletter, a course, a community with thousands of members — and we can set custom terms for your code: a higher discount, a higher commission, or a longer offer window. Write to info@bgeometrics.com to discuss it.
